EXPECTANT
“If your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” — Exodus 33
Moses was offered everything—land, victory, and a future. Yet he knew that without God's presence, none of it was worth having.
As we step into the second half of our Expectant journey, that's the prayer we want to carry with us.
We believe God wants to multiply disciples, leaders, communities, mission, and locations. We're expectant for all of it. But before any vision, growth, or opportunity, we want him. His presence. His power. His heart beating in ours.
Over these weeks, we'll explore what it means to seek God's presence together and to respond with lives marked by prayer, trust, and generosity. Because we don't just want what God can do—we want God himself.
Out of the Rubble
The walls of Jerusalem lay in ruins. The people were discouraged. What seemed broken beyond repair had become a symbol of shame, loss, and disappointment. But God wasn't finished.
In the book of Nehemiah, we discover a story that is about far more than rebuilding a city. It's a story of prayer before action, courage in the face of opposition, ordinary people joining together for a greater purpose, and God's power to bring renewal where things have fallen apart. Whether the brokenness is around us, within us, or close to our hearts, Nehemiah reminds us that God is in the business of restoration. He rebuilds what has been neglected, renews what has grown weary, and calls His people to participate in His work of renewal.
