24/7 Youth Worker

Gracecity is a locally empowered, centrally resourced, multisite and multi-ethnic church. Our mission is to join God’s renewal of people and places.

This Youth Worker position is based at One Tree Hill College (OTHC). The goal of 24-7 YouthWork is to see young people thrive by providing consistent, relational support through a strong school-church partnership.

24-7 YouthWork is a national organisation that equips and supports youth workers who are based in schools through formal partnerships with local churches. The name "24-7" reflects the vision of ongoing, relational youth support that extends beyond school hours—into everyday life, weekends, and youth group settings—helping to build resilience and community in young people’s lives.

As the partnering church, Gracecity plays a key role in this model by employing, mentoring, and spiritually supporting the youth worker. The church provides a wider community and leadership context for the youth worker to thrive in, while also helping to ensure the continuity of care for students both inside and outside of school.

The Youth Worker role builds meaningful relationships with students and provides a supportive presence within the school community. The aim is to walk alongside young people, encouraging their growth and helping create an environment where they feel valued, connected, and empowered to thrive.

This is a permanent, part-time position.

Key traits must include:

  • Alignment with Gracecity Mission, Vision and Values

  • A deep love for Jesus and a passion for seeing young people thrive

  • The ability to relate to a wide range of young people of diverse backgrounds, cultures and circumstances

  • Willingness to learn

  • Ability to manage their own time, and be self-motivating

  • Ability to work well as part of a wider team
